Honeycomb protection agent
It can improve the surface area and void space, decrease the bed pressure drop, increase the cut point for vapour-liquid separation, improve the fluid dispersibility, it also can absorb contamination particles in the materials and dirt from equipment of heat exchanger and heating furnace, and then improve the using efficiency for catalyst and unit. Compare with slotted & perforated protection agent, the void space improves more than 70%.
Advantages: large opening area, low flow velocity, good bed stability
It is used as supporting agent in the bottom of reactors, due to small Outlet Cross-section, the fluid velocity will be larger, the fluid easily change from laminar flow to pulsation and turbulence. The equivalent diameter is 2.5-3.5 times than ceramic ball, opening area is 6.25-12.25 times than ceramic ball, in the same situation, the fluid velocity is 1/6.25~1/12.25 times than ceramic ball. Same fluid and space velocity, the Reynolds number is lower 60-70% than ceramic ball, small fluid turbulence, good bed stability, good fluid distribution.
